The displacement sensor monitors the relative movement in one axis between walls, rocks, or piles.
The sensor consists of two parts that are connected by a steel wire, each part is fixed to the particular side of the structure that is to measure. The displace- ment is transduced from the wire tothe FBG, with varying measure- ment ranges and resolution, de- pending on the application.
